final blog

  • I think that i have a respectful mind. I am the type of person who can listen to other peoples points of view and relate to them and make decisions together. Also, I feel i am the type of person who works better with others than independently. I can take others opinions and contribute my own and come to even greater understandings.
  • There are many different key actions that a person can exemplify. However, the three i can relate to are: experiment with new ideas, see other points of views, and exhibit curiosity. I like to see what else is out there and see what new ideas could be. This blog project has shown me others ideas and i can see how those effect mine. Also, seeing other points of view shape the way i see life in general. Finally, i exhibit curiosity. I like to ask questions about things i do not fully understand. New topics and new ideas make me wonder why an outcome is what it is.
  • After developing my blog, i realized how vacations are in everyone's lives. Also, all along i figured the hot south and sandy beaches were the number spots to be and after i reasearched that came to be true. Besides my own individual blog, i realized that others comments really do effect where new ideas come from.

what's the top place to be?

thank you to all who did my poll! as i figured, tropical islands and sunny south were at a tie. I agree with all of you. The ocean, sand, and warm breeze is very relaxing and fun. When going to a tropical island, you get to see new wildlife, nature, and new scenery. Vacation is meant for everyone--each having different qualities. Sun has a way to make people have a better attitude and enjoy the time they spend together.

Friends :]

Everyone loves the idea of going away. No one really understands why vacation is the highlight of people's lives. But what is better than just going on vacation? going on vacation with friends! In high school, it is a big thing for everyone to go to the same place or at least places with their friends. Going with others has pros and cons. Parents may not like the fact that friends are going because it takes time away from the family;however, it allows the kids to be with friends and less time causing problems. More people on a trip equals piles and piles of more memories!

How to survive vacation?

Before one can step on the hot sandy beaches, or travel to the snowy alps one must always make a packing list. If it does not help you organize, its a way to get your mind in vacation mode. Here is a list of items that may come in handy:

  • Cellphone and charger
  • Digital camera, batteries, memory cards, manual
  • iPod/MP3 player and headphones, batteries, mini-speakers
  • Camera case
  • Foreign-language dictionary or phrase book
  • Journal/notebook and pen
  • Maps and directions
  • Mini-DVD player or DVD-capable laptop and DVDs
  • Reading material
  • Travel guide(s)
  • Underwater camera
It's unlikely you'll need everything on a list, but its fun to write and see what you want to take. Obviously, the same vacation destination may not call for both a bathing suit and gloves or mittens...but you never know. All packing lists include clothes and outfits that one may like to wear--shopping is ALWAYS a must beforehand!

Vacation for ALL SEASONS

Throughout the course of the year, families take trips to all parts of the world. It does not matter if it is winter, spring, summer, or fall, vacations can be enjoyed. As one may know, in the winter, the desired vacation spot is somewhere warm and sunny. Winter is a gloomy season--accumulations of snow, ice and gray skies can be hard on some people. But by getting to go somewhere nice and sunny can change a person's attitude. During the winter, Florida and other southern states and islands are the big spots for vacation. Moreover, the other season are just as applicable to take vacations to these warm destinations. In the Fall, however, most people want to spend time outdoors. Horseback riding and camping are in full swing during the Fall months. Just as in the winter months one wants to go where it is hot and sunny, the same is for the Summer. Families take trips far south to soak up the sun rays and spend time on the beach. There is just something about oceans and sun that strikes an eye to everyone. All in all, it does not matter what season society is in, a vacation spot is looking for tourists.

PARADISE

What is paradise? People often refer to beautiful islands as paradise. However, no one really knows what paradise is. Sure, sunny skies, hot air, and beautiful blue water may be paradise in some eyes, but others may think the opposite.

Too long?

When going on vacation, people want to be able to relax and enjoy the time they have away. For this to happen, the vacation needs to last longer than a couple of days. The normal time spent on vacation is about a week-this is standard for people with kids in school. However, over the summer, families can take trips for a longer amount of time. Two weeks is the known vacation time spent on a trip in the summer. For me, that seems just about right. The amount of time that a vacation is scheduled also deals with where the people are going. Two weeks on a lovely beach is more appealing to some people than two weeks in the freezing cold. It's all up to the person taking the trip. One nice aspect of taking longer vacations, is you can get away from from everyday life and put your mind elsewhere. There have been accounts where a vacation is too long. One being a vacation with little kids. They can only go a couple of days before becoming bored and ready to go home. People can always tell when kids fun meters are pegged. They become antsy and fussy. This is just one thing that can ruin a vacation if not taken care of. Many factors go into if a vacation is too long. There is no set amount of time one can be gone.
